What is Daniel Up to?

Daniel has changed so much over the past couple of months. He has had pink eye in both eyes, poor little guy. He is now better from that. He is growing so fast. He is getting so tall and his feet are big. He is now in a size 8 shoe. He was just in a size 6. He was in a size 7 for like a month. Oh, well, I guess we will just be spending money on shoes, since he does not grow out of clothes that quickly.

Daniel now can open doors. He can open everydoor except for the front door. He can even open our sliding glass door, which I wish he could not do. He can now turn the faucets on in the bathroom sink. He can take off all his clothes by himself. He can put on his pants all by himself, he can put his shirt on by himself sometimes. He is doing pretty good at using his utencils to eat. He just tried using a spoon to eat soup and did a pretty good job.

In the morning the first thing he does when we come downstairs is go to the refrigerator and say juice, juice for his apple juice. If we are having pancakes or waffles he will go in the cabinet to get the pancake syrup.

He can help take the dishes out of the dishwasher. He helpe me feed the dog. He will pour the dry food into the bowl and then get a spoon for me so I can mix the moist food with the dry. He then takes the bowl of food to the dog for him to eat. Also, when the dogs water bowl is empty he will get it and give it to me to put water in it.

He loves books so much. We must read or look at at least ten books a day. He has to have them with him in the crib when he takes his nap and when he goes to bed. We usually have to take one or two when we leave the house. He can pick out and say what a lot of the animals are in the book. He can also pick out alot of the other things in his picture books. We are working on his colors, but he is not doing that well with them. He is starting to pick up knowing what some colors are, but not that many. He knows how to turn the TV on using the remotes. I know great skill there.

He also has a love for the keys to the mini-van. He always goes keys, keys to get them. On the subject of talking he is doing pretty well there. He is saying a lot of words now. He is saying to many for me to list. It is so cute that whenever he sees Elmo he says Elmo. He also just starting saying Dora when he sees Dora (funny as we really do not watch Dora and he only has one Dora book). The way he says please is so cute as it ends up sounding more liking he is hissing. He has been saying I love you for the past couple of months, but he says it so cute as he says I "ove" you and then rambles something else after that, that we have no clue what he is saying.

When we are getting ready to go, he will go to the closet and get my shoes and Dave's shoes. Well, he is doing so much more that I could go on and on and on, but that would be way to long.
